Seventy years. Let that sink in. 70 years of helping people understand their superpowers and build better workplaces. 2025 marks a monumental anniversary of The Predictive Index (PI). PI didn't just change my career; it changed my life. 13 years ago, I took the PI Behavioral Assessment and discovered I was a "Maverick" (or, if we're getting technical, a "baby Maverick" with a narrow profile and a high B, or, even more technically, a "Persuaverick"). It was a revelation. In 2015, I was fortunate enough to join PI and spend nearly nine incredible years there. Huge thanks to Mike Zani and Daniel Muzquiz for opening that door. That journey directly led me to founding Lever Talent in 2022. Today, I have the privilege of leading Lever Talent, Inc., a PI Certifed Partner, that proudly offers PI and helps hundreds of clients hire better, develop self-aware leaders, increase employee engagement, and design winning teams. If you're looking for a product with scale and the EFPA's endorsement for validated use in hiring – a solution you can leverage across the entire employee lifecycle – there’s simply no software platform out there with decades of proven assessment science and rigor like PI. And my story is just one of millions. From Arnold Daniels' initial development of the PI Behavioral Assessment in 1955 to the comprehensive talent optimization platform it is today, PI assesses jobs, strategies, engagement, and uses data to facilitate amazing 1:1 meetings and provide targeted feedback. Few products are engineered to predict human behavior and drive workplace outcomes like The Predictive Index. Happy 70th, PI! Here's to many more years of transforming workplaces and lives. Oh, and here I am, rocking my PI anniversary swag. ?? #ThePredictiveIndex #HumanResources #Leadership #HRTech

There is one leadership word that comes to mind in response to the Los Angeles wildfire disaster. Accountability. Although the severity of the situation was unprecedented, the danger was well-known and imminent. While some preventative measures were in place, they were not consistently executed. And once the imminent happened, the response was disorganized and not well communicated. When tragedies occur, we hear the same question over and over in different ways: “Who is accountable for this?” Those impacted want answers. They want someone to demonstrate their knowledge and control over the situation. They want a leader to take stock of where the situation is at and provide a way out. In any leadership role, being accountable can be scary, because in our society accountability is more often brought up in response to an incident. This is the responsive side of accountability. An incident occurs and the accountable party (hopefully) owns the incident. I think this is why I see a noted issue of lack of accountability on many management teams. Who wants to be the face of disaster? Now, picture this: a leader who prepares well in advance, communicates risks transparently and has a rock-solid plan ready to launch when the worst occurs. They consistently demonstrate ownership. This is proactive accountability. It earns respect, fosters trust, and turns a crisis into an opportunity for resilience. This is proactive accountability. When leaders demonstrate proactive accountability, there is far less scrutiny and greater respect when incidents occur. It’s also much easier for the accountable party to face the tragedy because there is less fear of being judged and more support to correct the issue. Accountability is not just owning the outcomes. It’s owning the ENTIRE situation. Accountability is ultimate. If more than one person is accountable for something, no one is accountable. The greater the risk, the greater proactive accountability is needed. Are you truly accountable for the strategy, structure, process, and people on your team? Have you appropriately assigned accountability to individuals and set expectations? Now is the time to build a legacy of accountability. Those affected by the LA wildfires deserve nothing less. My thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted. ?? #Leadership #Transformation #HumanResources
