“It took 8 years to get a diagnosis.” “Insurance wouldn’t cover the only treatment that worked.” “Doctors kept telling me it was in my head.” These are the stories we hear too often from those living with rare diseases—people who are left to navigate a system that isn’t built for them. 1 in 10 Americans has a rare condition, yet most primary care providers will never see their disease firsthand. That means: ?? Years of misdiagnosis ?? Referrals that go nowhere ?? Out-of-pocket costs that bankrupt families At Level Health, we refuse to let healthcare be another obstacle. Our model ensures that members—whether they have a rare condition or not—get access to: ? $0 primary care with time to listen (not 7-minute visits) ? $0 mental health support (because medical trauma is real) ? $0 imaging & labs (so the right tests don’t get delayed) On Rare Disease Day, we stand with those fighting for better care, faster diagnoses, and a healthcare system that actually works. Because rare diseases aren’t rare when they affect millions of people.

?? Imagine hiring a real estate agent to buy your dream home. And then you find out… ?They’re getting paid MORE by the seller than they are by you. That’s exactly what happens with the big PBMs. ?? A recent lawsuit revealed how major PBMs allegedly accepted kickbacks from Biogen to favor their expensive drug, Tecfidera, over cheaper generics. Originally, Biogen planned to boost uptake of their newer drug, Vumerity, but when generics for Tecfidera hit the market sooner than expected, they pivoted to making “unlawful, anticompetitive agreements” with PBMs. These agreements manipulated the placement of generics on formularies, effectively eliminating competition and keeping costs high for you. ?? Object Permanence: Complex pricing models, deliberate opacity, and in some cases, down-right fraud make it impossible for employers to understand the extent to which they’re being taken advantage of. You can’t investigate what you can’t see. ? Ventegra, our PBM at Level Health, does things differently. They charge a flat fee per claim and pass 100% of rebates back to the employer—no hidden agendas, no conflicts of interest. Just transparent pricing that puts your needs first. If you wouldn’t trust a double-dealing agent, why trust a PBM that plays both sides? Comment "Pharmacy" below and we'll give you a full analysis of your pharmacy benefit contract for free. ??
