"Lettum Eat! is a true ministry. I do what I do with Hank and Lettum Eat! because I know what he's doing is beyond feeding the body. He's nurturing the soul. That's where I know my calling is — to help feed the soul so we can be a planet of love and peace, not despair and anger and fear and hurting one another. "The alignment of knowing we are here to serve a purpose greater than ourselves — that's why I work with Hank." — Cat Hardrick, Lettum Eat! board member Learn more and get involved at lettumeat.com.

"Alvin Hill has been a part of Lettum Eat! for the last three years as a chef — but his relationship with Chef Hank goes back nearly two decades. Having worked alongside and under Hank in numerous restaurants, Alvin's experience has been an invaluable part of the Lettum Eat! team. He's also got a heart for people that few others do. "My first experience was with [one of Lettum Eat!'s church partners] feeding the homeless in Atlanta. We pulled up to the establishment getting set up for everything, and there was a group of homeless kids sitting on the side — and these kids realized that we were there for them. That these kids came up to the bus and said, 'Do you guys have food for us today? Because I haven't eaten in a couple of days.' And when I tell you that broke my heart... I was just like, 'God, you put me in the right place at the right time. I understand now.' From that point on, I understood food insecurity," Alvin said. "I told them that they were going to get the first meals and that before I left, I wanted to make sure they had enough food to carry them through a couple more days. That's what drives me." Alvin accompanied Hank and other members of the Lettum Eat! team as they went last month to Augusta to feed those affected by Hurricane Helene. Together, the team was able to provide 600 meals. He encourages others to get involved with what Lettum Eat! is doing — whether through donating, volunteering or partnering. "If you have any kind of passion for caring for people or want to make a difference in someone's life, come to Lettum Eat!" Alvin said. "We touch people's lives, and people touch ours. It ain't just one sided story; it affects both sides."
