Our co-founder?Jacob P.?was recently featured in Forbes Magazine!? Without a doubt, Jacob’s children have had the biggest impact on his career. “What I'm doing right now is the most impactful thing that I've ever done. It's where I feel purpose and mission and it makes me think about the future they’re going to inherit. Everything else I've done until now has been stepping stones to build my capabilities – and now I’m using them for the right cause.” #LettuceGrow #Forbes #ForbesInterview #HydroponicGrowing #Farmstand #GrowYourOwnFood https://lnkd.in/gVK6Ybdr

To celebrate Earth Month, Lettuce Grow Co-Founder Jacob P., joined a group of climate leaders across fashion, food, and storytelling for an intimate evening focused on Building a Regenerative Economy. ?? This event, hosted by Commons, provided insight into what our food system looks like now and where the experts think we’re headed. “In 5 years, 7 years, the whole food supply chain will change if all the consumers start saying “Where’s your food from?”. Because no one wants to hear that it came from you know 2,000 miles and it’s got lots of chemicals on it.” - Jacob P. Whether you grew up on a farm or have never seen one, we make gardening foolproof.??? Check out Entrepreneur Magazine’s feature on our Co-Founder, Jacob P., on how Lettuce Grow was born and the magic behind it all. “I started a farm in Austin, Texas to figure out how to grow organic produce as efficiently and at as low a cost as possible. And in that process, I learned how tough farming is — particularly the distribution piece. We'd take this beautiful organic head of lettuce, put it in a plastic clamshell, put that in a box and then put the box on a truck that went to a distribution center. And then it would get unloaded, sit there for a while, then get on another truck that would go to the grocery store. And so the end result is the product that's at the grocery store was not like the same products that we grew. It was seven days older. It didn't have the same feel, texture or flavor, and lost about 50 percent of its nutritional value. That's when a little light bulb went off. What if we somehow kept the plant alive the whole way?” - Jacob P. #lettucegrow #hydroponicsystem #athomegardening #entrepreneurmagazine
