Scenario: An instructional designer is creating a module on financial literacy for adult learners. The topic covers "Understanding Compound Interest." Many learners in the course may have varying levels of familiarity with financial concepts, and some may struggle with dense, technical explanations. Instead of saying "Compound interest accrues based on the principal amount and the accumulated interest from previous periods, exponentially increasing the growth of the financial sum over time." Try this: Compound interest means you earn interest not only on your money but also on the interest that’s already been added. This helps your savings grow faster." Use Clear Headings: "What Is Compound Interest?" "How Does It Work?" "Why Is It Important for Saving Money?" Include a simple diagram or chart to show how compound interest grows over time, using a real-world example (e.g., saving $100 per month). Add an activity where learners can input values into a compound interest calculator to see how their savings grow. Pair this with step-by-step instructions to guide them. ?
