Cognitive decline is a growing global concern, but research continues to highlight the power of lifestyle interventions in slowing its progression. The FINGER study?(Finnish Geriatric Intervention Study to Prevent Cognitive Impairment and Disability)?demonstrated that a combination of diet, physical activity, cognitive training, and vascular risk monitoring can significantly impact cognitive health. Building on this foundation, the LETHE project leverages a digital, person-centered approach to prevent cognitive decline early on. ?? The first LETHE Project paper is out! It presents the study design and progress of the two-year multinational trial, evaluating the feasibility of a digitally supported, adapted #FINGER intervention among at-risk older adults. Its first results show excellent retention rate, over 98%, after the trial's first six months. This is promising, since specifically designed digital apps have great potential to support cost-efficient, large-scale prevention programs.
