Fernando De Leon sat down with Forbes to talk about his personal journey and the evolution of Leon Capital Group from real estate developer to diversified holding company with businesses across healthcare, financial services and real estate. On creating long-lasting value, Fernando says, “The way you build a valuable business is to provide something of value to humanity”. He adds, “We own and operate our businesses for the long haul. We don’t think about three- or five-year windows. We think about long-term value creation that isn’t cyclical." Reflecting on Leon’s 20-year journey, he notes, “We took a very small amount of capital and we compounded it over and over, through very high conviction ideas.
