Today, Mikaela Shiffrin became the GOAT ?????? of ski racing by claiming her 87th World Cup victory during a slalom race in Are, Sweden. Shiffrin surpassed Ingemar Stenmark and his long-standing 34-year-old record of 86 World Cup victories, a record which many experts thought would never be matched. This record puts Shiffrin amongst the all-time greats in sporting history, and the fact that she reached this pinnacle at just 27 years of age makes her accomplishment all the more remarkable. Shiffrin won the slalom by .69 seconds over Anna Swenn Larsson of Sweden.
