Quantitative Research Intern at Trade Terminal | Lehigh University - Masters in Financial Engineering | Portfolio Management | CFA level 3 candidate |
?? Introducing My Options Pricing & Simulation Project!?? I'm excited to share my latest project that brings complex financial modeling to life with real-time options pricing and simulations! This project is designed to help investors and traders make informed decisions by providing dynamic insights into the behavior of options under different market conditions. ?? Project Features: - Black-Scholes Model: Accurately calculate the theoretical value of call and put options with live data, considering variables like volatility and risk-free rate. - Greeks Visualization: Visualize risk sensitivities (like Delta, Gamma, Theta, and Vega) to better understand price movement impacts and manage portfolio risk. - Monte Carlo Simulations: Simulate thousands of asset price paths to estimate potential future option prices, accounting for market volatility. - Binomial Tree Model: Step-by-step binomial trees provide insights into American option values, allowing for early exercise scenarios. ?? Tech Stack: Leveraging Python with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Plotly, and Streamlit, and using Yahoo Finance API for real-time market data, this tool combines finance and tech to make complex concepts actionable and accessible. ?? Why It Matters: Options pricing is often seen as complex, but with the right tools, it becomes accessible. By visualizing how prices change under various conditions, this project brings clarity to options trading, making data-driven decisions achievable. #Finance #OptionsTrading #DataScience #FinancialModeling #Python #BlackScholes #MonteCarloSimulation #BinomialTree #Investing #QuantFinance https://lnkd.in/ef4D8jUK

?? Navigating the Path to a Master's in Quant Finance ?? Pursuing a Master's in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or related fields is a big decision, involving careful consideration of programs that align with your profile and goals. ?????? ?? I've compiled a list of top programs in the U.S., detailing crucial factors like tuition costs, average salaries, average GPAs, and acceptance rates. Based on this data, I've categorized schools into Ambitious, Moderate, and Safe choices. ?? Key insights from my analysis: ?? Ambitious: Top-tier programs with competitive acceptance rates, like UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, and Columbia. Great options if you have a strong profile! ?? Moderate: Programs like Georgia Tech, NCSU, Rutgers and NYU Tandon offer a balanced mix of opportunities and selectivity. ?? Safe: Schools such as University of Illinois, and Lehigh, which have more accessible acceptance rates and still provide excellent education in quant finance. ?? Deciding where to apply can be challenging, especially in a competitive field like quant finance. It's crucial to have a mix of ambitious, moderate, and safe schools to maximize your chances. ??
