Today is morticians appreciation day! Morticians are often forgotten as we work in the underbelly of society. No one wants a funeral home or crematory in their neighborhood until there’s a death and then they want the closest one. We come into you life in your darkest days and we get through those days with compassion and patience. Morticians are essential workers and should be recognized as such. Here are 4 ways to show your local mortician they are appreciated. -Send a coffee (we live on caffeine since we work around the clock and are often on call) -Send snacks to the funeral home or lunch (we rarely get a break and often eat on the road) -Send a simple text letting us know how you’re doing in your grief journey. (We care about you and understand grief better than anyone-we’d love to hear from you) -Help me celebrate by forwarding this image to a mortician you know and appreciate

What would you say are your weaknesses and how would you improve them?? ? Be honest and share your genuine weaknesses, don't be fake. ? Lay out the roadmap for how you want to improve them. 8. Describe a situation where you had to handle multiple responsibilities.? ? Talk about how you were organised and prepared. ? Go in detail on how you spin multiple plates. 9. Tell me a time when you couldn’t meet a deadline and how you handled it?? ? Discuss honestly about how disappointed you were. ? Then go on to say how you reflected and learned from it. 10. Share an example of how you handled working with someone who’s difficult.? ? Touch on how you communicated clearly with them. ? Share that it came from a place of empathy. 11. Why did you want to leave your current place of work?? ? Flip the question on its head and talk positively about them. ? But go on to say how you want a new challenge. 12. It's time to celebrate the Fall Graduation Class of 2024 with our very own Los Diablos Scholar Javier R. Aguirre Martinez! Javier is a first-generation student at the Barrett Honors college. He will be graduating sum cum laude and receiving his degree in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management from the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. He will also finish up with a degree from the W.P Carey School of Business where he has been studying Real Estate. More than 11,300 students will receive their diplomas in the upcoming days. The largest number of students — 2,447 — are graduating from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, followed by 2,098 from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and 1,394 from the W. P. Carey School of Business. Javier will be student speaker at the Ira A Fulton School of Engineering on Thursday and commissioned as a Marine Corps Officer on Wednesday. We are so very proud of all Javier's hard work and look forward to seeing him walk across the stage in Los Diablos style!

This past Sunday marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a month-long celebration of Hispanic history, culture and contributions. To kick off the festivities, ASU Law students and members of the Chicano Latino Law Students Association (CLLSA) came together during lunchtime to enjoy a mariachi concert featuring the talented Mariachi Azteca de Oro.
