?? 30 for 30! ?? In June 2025, we’re celebrating 30 years of USA-Vietnam relations with 30 inspiring young leaders—16 from Vietnam and 14 from the U.S.—coming together for a transformative cultural exchange experience! During this exchange, participants will build meaningful relationships, deepen their understanding of U.S. and Vietnamese cultures, explore youth volunteerism, and develop cross-cultural leadership skills—all while fostering global understanding and strengthening diplomacy. Stay tuned for more updates as we celebrate the bonds between these two nations! The On-Demand Youth Leadership Program (ODYLP) is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), administered by Legacy International in partnership with Global Ties Kansas City.

Take a look at some of the stellar 2024 #TechGirls Community Action Projects! We are so proud of each and every TechGirl for using their STEM and leadership skills to make a huge impact on their home community. TechGirls are truly the leaders of tomorrow! Community Action Projects (CAPs) are #service projects that TechGirls brainstorm, plan, troubleshoot, and execute once they return home from the in-person exchange program. CAPs aim to solve a problem specific to the TechGirl's community, through her newly strengthened STEM and interpersonal skills. Each one is unique, just like each TechGirl! #CreateALegacy What kind of legacy do you want to create? Legacy International staff members share the one-word legacies they strive for in this video. From 'transformation' and 'service' to 'joy' and 'peace,' their collective vision reveals a team that is driven by purpose and inspires hope for the future. This year, Legacy’s year-end campaign is collecting funds to distribute to deserving alumni whose local projects have potential for immediate community impact. We aim to collect $10,000 to distribute amongst 5-10 communities. These funds will enable these outstanding alumni to expand the reach and impact of their transformative work. Your donation today fuels powerful projects that uplift communities and has rippling effects across the globe. "#CreateALegacy This past fall, 11 PFP fellowship hosts traveled to their Fellow's home country as part of the reciprocal exchange. These outstanding mentors had the opportunity to explore the local entrepreneurship ecosystem, host workshops and panel discussions with local professionals, and learn about the history and culture of the country. Two of the exchange participants, Maria and Dalin, traveled to Egypt and visited the Great Pyramids of Giza. When asked about her experience, Maria described her time in Egypt as, “a truly transformative experience, both professionally and personally. Immersing myself in a culture with such a rich history and connecting with professionals from diverse backgrounds broadened my perspective on social entrepreneurship and community development. This exchange underscored the importance of cross-cultural collaboration in addressing global challenges, particularly those affecting women and women entrepreneurs." I have been looking forward to sharing my experience from a recent trip to Algeria as part of the Legacy International, World Learning Algeria and U.S. Department of State reverse fellowship opportunity. Stepping foot on my ancestral continent of Africa for the first time was both spiritual and magical. I was so blessed and fortunate to be hosted by the incredible World Learning Algeria team and the country of Algeria left a lasting impression on me. I met so many wonderful people and my travel mates Kathryn Adabonyan and Taylor Kampia ensured there wasn't a dull moment. I want to thank Chas Moore and Ishia Lynette Adams for nominating me for this opportunity and Saada BERDJOUH and Saber Guedjiba for welcoming me to their beautiful country. Thank you! #j4education #globaltraveler #africa #algeria
