Live from the?San Diego Zoo Safari Park?at the Kijami Overlook. We performed for about 30 minutes while guests arrived, and one of the pieces we chose was "Storybook Love" from The Princess Bride soundtrack. "Storybook Love" was written and performed by Willie DeVille and arranged by Mark Knopfler, and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song in 1988 when it was released. Our arrangement comes from our very own RB Anthony (also performing here on horn), and we are joined by Emilia Lopez-Yanez on oboe for the day, along with our regulars April Leslie on clarinet, Erica Gamble on flute, and Dan Weiss on bassoon. #sandiegowedding #classicalmusicians #moviemusic

It's taken a little while with the holidays and new year, but finally getting around to a few more videos from our Scripps Ranch Library concert in mid-December. Here is a fun one, It Had to Be You, which was written by Isham Jones and Gus Kahn in 1924. Our arrangement is from Andy Norman as was really fun to perform. The audience at the Scripps Ranch Library was full of music lovers who enjoyed the variety of concert pieces we put together for them. Just over a year ago, our trio was hired to perform for a wedding cocktail hour at Mille Fleurs in Rancho Santa Fe. This gorgeous venue with its beautiful patio set the stage for family and friends to gather, enjoy company, conversation, and a concert! Here’s a sneak peek from our wedding performance at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park this weekend! ?? We kicked things off with RB Anthony's custom arrangement of Beethoven's Ode to Joy while guests were getting comfy before the ceremony. ?? Fun fact: Ode to Joy isn’t just a beautiful piece of music—it’s also the official anthem of the European Union! Adopted in 1985, it symbolizes peace triumphing over war and desperation. So, in a way, we were helping spread a little peace and love... one wedding at a time. ???? #WeddingVibes #OdeToJoy #PeaceAndLove

This custom arrangement from our amazing hornist RB slows things down a bit and brings out Jenny on the English Horn to provide a sensuous melody, supported by the rest of the quintet.
