This afternoon, Chief Pirnat and members of the #LPD were thrilled to host the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy class recruits. As part of their curriculum, the recruits (from all over the NOVA area), visit Leesburg for a 1-day course on our successful methods of Community Policing. These future officers and deputies took part in discussions and hands-on training with LPD staff to better understand the importance of building trust, working with residents, and creating a safer, more united community.

?? Don’t Test Your Luck this Weekend! ?? On St. Paddy’s night, with laughter so bright, The pubs are alive, and the spirits take flight. But if you drink, don’t take the wheel, Or a night of fun could turn too real. A sober ride is just a call, To keep you safe, protect us all. Leesburg’s finest will be near, To stop the ones who bring us fear. So raise a glass, but think ahead, Or risk a cell instead of a bed. Your luck runs out when you drink and drive, Make the right choice—get home alive. ?????? #DriveSober #StPatricksDay #LeesburgPD #CelebrateResponsibly
