?Last month, ALF National hosted We The People, a dialogue that brought together Senior Fellows from across the country to walk the talk - of courageous conversations, generous listening, and collective action grounded in our shared values. The keynote speakers Alberto Gonzales and Carin Taylor, shared powerful insights on leaning into faith and believing in the goodness of humanity, a timely reminder in today’s world. The fishbowl discussion brought together diverse perspectives, including ALF Charlotte chapter’s own Peter Blair (Class XXII), who shared how his rich experiences have shaped his viewpoints. The evening was full of enriching dialogue and thought-provoking questions. One resounding theme? Those who showed up were willing to engage in difficult conversations and “lean in†to political and ideological differences—not as barriers, but as opportunities for growth. ?What does leaning into differences look like in your own leadership journey? Let’s continue the conversation. Drop your thoughts below! #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #Innovation #TrainingSolutions #LeeInstitute #Charlotte

?Women have long been at the heart of transformative change, leading movements, shaping policy, and building community. The impact that women have made deserves acknowledgement. This Women's History Month, we honor the power of women's leadership in building a more diverse, compassionate and effective future. We think the best way to do this is by supporting the women we know doing the work right now. Check out these organizations in our network that are led by or founded by women: CareRing Health provides healthcare to people who are uninsured or underinsured in Mecklenburg County. The Academy of Goal Achievers, Inc provides school and community based youth leadership mentoring groups that will empower young adults to be active leaders in their schools, communities and families, while preparing them for post-secondary success. Healing Vine Harbor, Inc serves at risk women who are not ready for independent living ourBRIDGE for KIDS promotes the education, acculturation, and well-being of refugee and immigrant families through out-of-school programs and comprehensive, culturally responsive wraparound support to hundreds of families from around the world. #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #LeeInstitute #Charlotte #womenshistorymonth

For the past year, we've had the privilege of working with Temple to create their strategic roadmap. Our goal is to help them create a plan that can address current needs while remaining nimble enough to adapt to changes down the road. Temple Israel’s commitment to thoughtful, detailed planning is a testament to what it takes to build an effective strategy. Thank you, Temple Israel, for allowing us to be part of this journey! #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #Innovation #TrainingSolutions #LeeInstitute #Charlotte

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is building real connections with our clients. We love being part of their journey as they grow and achieve their goals. In December, we reconnected with an old client, Arts Council Of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. We worked closely with their leadership team and members of the board to reassess and refine their strategic plan to ensure it fit their current needs. We also had the opportunity to facilitate a brainstorming session with their staff to develop goals for this year. ACFCC is a wonderful example of an organization that makes an effort to ensure that their strategic plan is a living document that can evolve with them. Partnering with ACFCC has been an enriching experience! Not only do we get to support the amazing work that they do, but we also get to appreciate great art while we're there. We look forward to another successful year working alongside them as they grow and achieve their goals. #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #Innovation #TrainingSolutions #LeeInstitute #Charlotte

Black leaders have long been at the forefront of shaping change. We honor and uplift this legacy not just in February, but throughout the year. Now more than ever, this Black History Month calls us to reflect on all that has brought us to this moment—and to remain committed to amplifying Black voices and pushing for meaningful change. At Lee Institute, we don’t just talk about community impact—we work alongside grassroots leaders to make it happen. Since 2015, we’ve had the honor of partnering with the West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition (WBNC), a powerful network of 19 communities along the West Boulevard corridor. Our role has been to support WBNC’s vision by strengthening organizational infrastructure, facilitating board development, and helping to shape strategies that reflect the needs and priorities of the community. This work continues today. As we move into the next phase, we are supporting WBNC in expanding their community-driven initiatives, including the development of 3 Sisters Market @3smclt, a resident-owned cooperative. This co-op is a critical step toward long-term economic empowerment and self-sufficiency for West Boulevard residents. This Black History Month, we celebrate the power of collective action and the leaders driving change right here in Charlotte. You can support WBNC by signing up to be a member of the 3 Sisters Market Co-Op. Membership is open now! #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #Innovation #TrainingSolutions #LeeInstitute #Charlotte

American Leadership Forum Charlotte Region is far from a cookie cutter leadership development program. We invite leaders to bring their whole selves into the room so that they may discover the leader they need to be to achieve their unique and worthy goals. We challenge our participants to be honest about who they are and what their own individual growth should look like. If you are ready to level up your leadership, contact us to learn more about American Leadership Forum - National. It’s hard to believe that Class XXIII has officially passed the halfway point in their leadership journeys! We marked this milestone last month at Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. We took a tour and learned about the remarkable work that Hospice & Community Care does, from hospice and palliative care, to holding a weekly Caring Closet for the community. They also have two resale shops, which help to support their mission. During our visit, Charles C. Weathers, MBA led an insightful discussion on Leading and Engaging Across Differences, emphasizing the importance of leading from the heart and leaving us with a goldmine of wisdom. Meeting Willow, the campus cat, was an unforgettable highlight of the day! Thank you to Hospice & Community Care for hosting and Charles C. Weathers, MBA for facilitating. #NonprofitGrowth #CommunityImpact #StrategicPartnership #LeadershipDevelopment #ALF
