This week Lee NYC volunteers participated in a horticulture maintenance project around Hudson River Park’s Pier 63. Volunteers engaged in team-building activities while learning about Hudson River Park’s unique urban ecology. We planted 1500 tulips, removed non-native and invasive species, collected debris, and improved garden aesthetics through pruning, sweeping and raking.
