Leawood Rotarians proudly rang the bells for the Salvation Army on December 14 at Ranchmart Hardware, 95th & Mission Road. We’re honored to support the Army’s incredible work serving those in need this holiday season and hope our efforts helped fill the Kettles with generosity and goodwill! ????

Leawood Rotary sees a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change
关于我们
Whether it’s helping to once and for always eliminate Polio or mentoring local high school Juniors and Seniors for college success and scholarships, our club members are making a difference in the lives of others. Founded in 1995, the Leawood Rotary Club has over 60 members taking action to improve the quality of life of those in need and helping youth develop learning and leadership skills. Our members include leaders in government, education and business who understand how to collaborate and make things happen. When you join the Leawood Rotary Club, your potential to make a difference in the world grows exponentially. You’re joining a network of over 1.2 million Rotarians in 31,000 clubs and 166 countries who take action — volunteers who share a goal of helping build goodwill and peace in the world, while improving the quality of life for others. We see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — in our communities, around the world, and in ourselves.

Since 1996, we have proudly supported this incredible charity. On December 7th, members of the Leawood Rotary Club volunteered at the 2025 Johnson County Christmas Holiday Shop. During our four-hour shift, we had the privilege of assisting shoppers, restocking shelves, and loading cars, all to help make the holiday season brighter for our community.

Norman Kahn and Mary Penrose of the Silver Haired Legislature spoke this morning. They are two of six Silver Hair legislators from Johnson County who serve with Silver Hair legislators across the State to advocate for senior issues such as the expansion of Medicaid and medical cannabis. There is at least one Silver Hair legislator from each county in Kansas and they meet annually in Topeka.

This morning, Leawood Rotary recognized our Veteran members in honor of Veteran’s Day, welcomed new member Davis Harrison, and heard an inspiring story from Pastor Darryl Burton?with Miracles of Innocence. Pastor Burton's organization helps individuals?like himself, who have been wrongfully convicted and imprisoned, reintegrate into society.??https://lnkd.in/gC9Y7UgW
