ArchTalk #schgArchTalk | October 19, 2024 We're excited to announce ArchTalk Season 03, building on the success of our previous events! We at the Save Cultural Heritage Group are excited to continue bringing together people from various disciplines and fields related to archaeology and cultural heritage to celebrate International Archaeology Day. This event will provide you with a platform to share insights into your research and work experience with others in the field. This year, we're exploring new themes that intersect with archaeology and cultural heritage. Theme 1: Archaeology of the Heart This theme will, among others, discuss emotional landscapes in archaeological practice; exploring trauma, distress, and the human experiences in ancient world; environmental ethics and emotions in archaeological record; archaeological research and interaction with Indigenous communities; decolonization of archaeology, and museums. Theme 2: Artificial Intelligence and Cultural Heritage This theme will revolve around the impact of applications and implications of Artificial Intelligence in cultural heritage research, communication and practice & the need for international, national, & local challenges, insights and solutions. Theme 3: Nature, Culture and Museum This theme will explore the complex relationships between nature and culture in museum collections, exhibitions, and programs. The practices in which museums/ art galleries negotiate the boundaries of representation, interpretation, and sustainability in relation to natural and cultural heritage Submit your talk ideas and join the conversation!
