As global funding dynamics evolve, commercial capital is playing an increasingly vital role in driving sustainable development. Since its founding in 2007,?LeapFrog?has been a pioneer in impact investing that backs companies providing essential financial services,?healthcare, and climate solutions?in Asia and Africa.?As at end of 2023,?LeapFrog’s portfolio companies reached?537?million people, with over?359?million of?these consumers living on less than $11.20 a day.?As of December 2024, LeapFrog had USD 2.8 billion in?assets under management (AUM)?and supported 20 million of Micro, Small Medium enterprises in more than 36 countries.?The majority of?these investments are located in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa. While LeapFrog officially became?a member of the JIM Foundation in December 2024, the organization has already demonstrated a commitment to harmonized impact measurement and reporting. In fact, since June 2024,?LeapFrog?has partnered with the JIM to equip Fidelity Bank Ghana with a JIM membership, enabling the bank to estimate and report their financed emissions. This year,?LeapFrog?has already begun engaging with their membership benefits. Together, we've completed their onboarding session, and they are actively leveraging JIM data to conduct a deeper analysis of their impact, going beyond the necessary reporting requirements. ?
