Ilana Golan and Leap Academy change lives. It's that simple. When I first saw one of Ilana's Facebook ads in October, it resonated deeply. I watched the free webinar and learned a ton. It was clear the program is legit. Ilana is obviously the real deal - an authentic leader with a proven track record and a message that inspires others! So I reached out and set up an interview. I spoke with one of her team members for about an hour and decided to take the plunge - rather, make the leap - and invest in myself for the first time since I decided to go to law school, over 20 years ago. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Before, I didn't know what I was missing, I just knew I was feeling unsatisfied and demotivated. Now, I have a real sense of what I want my future to look like - and most importantly, a path to get there. I have a much better understanding of who I am, of what motivates me, and my zone of genius. I now know how I can inspire others and become the leader I have always felt I should be. And I know that with continued coaching and dedicated work, I can take control of my life and change my future! We are living in the golden age of entrepreneurship. If you’re wavering on starting a business, here’s some perspective: the cost of failure is as low as it has ever been. It used to be thousands of dollars to set up a business. Today, you can start a business for $39/month on Shopify. That’s the cost of a few Starbucks coffees. The amount of opportunity people have right now is unlike anything we have ever seen. In the entire history of the world, we have never seen acceleration, and the pace of company building the way we are seeing it right now. The reality that someone like Ben Francis could take an idea from his college dorm room, and build a billion dollar company called Gymshark that competes with Nike in a single decade has never been seen before. That’s the kind of opportunity we are working with right now. Entrepreneurship is on the rise. The US Census Bureau reported that there have been nearly 16 million new recorded business applications since the beginning of 2021. The reason we are seeing this volume of entrepreneurs is that the barriers to start and scale have never been lower. There is this arsenal of tools, resources, and platforms that are readily available for aspiring entrepreneurs. The digital revolution has levelled the playing field so that anyone with an internet connection can now reach a global audience for their products. You can have an idea in the shower in the morning, start a store in the afternoon, and have a business that evening. This alone is a massive opportunity that more and more people are seizing. The reality is that if it doesn’t work - you can pivot and change your store and try again. The cost of failing doesn’t have a material impact the way it did decades ago when my grandfather started a business. There’s never been a better time to start. Celebrating Milestones ?? I'm thrilled to share that I’ve graduated from Leap Academy’s Foundations program! The past eight weeks were filled with coaching, workshops, self-assessment, mindfulness, networking, and meaningful action. The experience culminated in the Leap Academy Leadership Summit #LeapCon2024 in San Diego late last month, where I connected with amazing leaders from diverse industries who are all committed to making their next LEAP forward. I left feeling energized and curious with so many others by my side on this journey.
