Girls' LEAP interrupts the cycle of violence by teaching girls that they have a right to be safe and how to defend themselves if necessary. We believe all girls deserve to grow up safe and free from violence – and that empowerment is violence prevention. Our goal is to provide girls with the tools and skills to keep themselves safe, both emotionally and physically. We partner with local schools and community centers to deliver empowerment and self-defense services to girls aged 8-18 in Greater Boston.

Girls’ LEAP is thrilled to announce our brand-new 4-day program for girls and non-binary youth, ages 10-13, throughout the Greater Boston area! When I first set out to create this program, I knew it had to capture the very essence of what Girls’ LEAP stands for: building confidence, strength, and resilience in young people. After countless brainstorm sessions and collaborations, we arrived at a mission statement that truly speaks to our purpose: Mission Statement: To empower girls and non-binary youth aged 10-13 in Greater Boston by building their confidence, resilience, and readiness for the world through a holistic blend of socio-emotional learning, physical self-defense, and exposure to inspiring role models. Working on this initiative has been such a meaningful journey. Every lesson plan, every discussion topic, and every activity is carefully crafted to help our participants grow into their fullest, bravest selves. It was a pleasure helping put this together! I highly recommend signing up for eligible youth that you know! Our hope is that, by the end of the four days, each participant walks away feeling not only stronger and more confident, but also equipped with practical skills and a supportive community.
