So thrilled to be working with Lynn Community Health Center and Lynn Public Schools on a "Youth as Healthcare Change Agents" grant from Atrius Health Equity Foundation! LEAP will be bringing its career mentoring experience to the team to match Lynn high school students to mentors in the healthcare field. Students will also get health education and job shadowing experience. The first cohort of 70 students starts in the Fall of 2025. What an amazing group of professionals to work with. Stay tuned...

At LEAP, we are incredibly fortunate and grateful to be supported by a team of over 165 dedicated volunteers, each contributing time, passion, and care to our cause. Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll was among the invitees who got to see the efforts of the students in our Summer Work Program, a six-week program that pairs teens with mentors to work on career-based projects. "This is what we call a 'learn and earn' program. It allows students to engage in an academic program and learn about careers, but also get paid for it so they don't have to make a choice between working a typical teen summer job and going to an academic program. Students only get paid for hours attended, and only if they complete their project." - LEAP Executive Director, Linda Saris In addition to Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll, Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo, MA Representative (and LEAP Alum) Manny Cruz, MA Representative Daniel Cahill, Salem Superintendent Dr. Stephen Zrike Jr., and Lynn Deputy Superintendent Molly Cohen were all in attendance. LEAP’s Dream MORE program in Lynn has been named only one of six finalists by the National Summer Learning Association. Winners will be announced in the fall. All finalists will get boosted by this recognition, and the winners will get a cash award and be recognized at the NSLA Summit in November.
