Unlocking the Path to Robust Pharmacogenomics (PGx) Research at the STRIPE Annual Meeting’s Study Design Considerations Workshop! This workshop will focus on the critical task of optimizing study designs for PGx research to demonstrate the clinical utility of testing. Attendees will dive into discussions on establishing evidence thresholds for recommending pre-treatment PGx testing, selecting appropriate primary comparators, and considering factors such as cost in clinical utility determinations. The session will cover the challenges of conducting prospective, randomized, controlled trials, while also exploring alternative designs, including non-randomized trials and real-world evidence. This workshop is ideal for researchers, clinical trial designers, and healthcare professionals interested in advancing PGx research by defining clinical utility and strengthening evidence-based recommendations for PGx testing.
