Election season often puts Washington, D.C., in the spotlight. But many of our public servants work in our local communities to provide the basic services on which we all rely. Our Salute to Local Government event is an annual reminder of the innovative, meaningful work done by some of our state's top public servants.?
Thanks to all who contributed to our 32nd Annual Salute to Local Government awards at Milwaukee's Italian Community Center on Nov. 13! Keynote speaker Jim Paetsch of Milwaukee 7 shared his insights into southeast Wisconsin's competitive strengths and weaknesses. Then we honored our Salute award winners, who represent a statewide mix of some of Wisconsin's hardest-working and most innovative public servants. Thanks again to all who support the Forum, and we hope to see you again next year!

Mark Rohloff, City Manager of Oshkosh, was awarded the James R. Ryan Lifetime Achievement Award from Wisconsin Policy Forum's Salute to Local Government event this week. Some of our League team and Mark's peers proudly cheered him on. Well deserved Mark. Thank you for you all you have done for your community as you prepare for retirement!

Never too young to introduce local government to the kiddos! Great choice in reading materials for story time! Thanks for sharing!
