Finalizo un ciclo de 12 a?os en la Asociación Mexicana de Ferrocarriles (AMF). Tuve la fortuna de estar rodeado de gente muy talentosa que me ayudó a entender lo complejo y apasionante de los ferrocarriles de carga, trenes de pasajeros y proveduría de ambos. Mi antecesor, Emilio Sacristán, fundó la AMF y la presidió por 8 a?os. Bajo la gestión de ambos la conducimos para llegar hoy a su XX aniversario. Las tareas múltiples incluyen relaciones con gobierno y legislativo, atención a medios, participar y liderear aspectos normativos técnicos y regulación económica, seguridad operativa, patrimonial y vial entre otros. Siempre ocuparon lugares de hasta arriba en la lista de pendientes los aspectos fronterizos y la relación con los ferrocarriles norteamericanos ???????? que conforman la AAR, así como el servicio ferroviario y cambio modal con las distintas industrias agremiadas en la CONCAMIN. Agradezco a todos aquellos que me brindaron la oportunidad de colaborar en distintas temáticas para desarrollar y mejorar el sistema ferroviario de carga, los trenes de pasajeros y metros en ????. Viene una época prometedora para la AMF bajo el liderazgo de Francisco Fabila en la Presidencia y Vianey D. en la Dirección General. Grupo México Transportes CPKC Ferrocarril y Terminal del Valle de México, S. A. de C. V. Tren Maya Ferrocarril del Istmo de Tehuantepec, S.A. de C.V. (FIT) Baja California Railroad CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) Alstom ‐‐-----‐----------- I am finishing a 12 year long cycle at AMF. I had the privilege to have met very talented professionals who helped me in understanding the complex and engaging world of freight rail, passenger trains and railway suppliers. Emilio Sacristán founded AMF and chaired it for 8 years. Between the two have taken AMF to its XX anniversary. Our tasks involved public advocacy, media, technical standards, economic regulation, operational safety and security. Close coordination with class I railroads at AAR ????????, service issues and modal shift with shippers from CONCAMIN were always on top of the "to do list". I would like to thank all of those that gave me the opportunity to collaborate in many rail related topics, in order to strenghten the development of freight rail, passenger trains and metros in ????.
