Excited to join Cohort 3 of Transform alongside other great startups in the generative AI space. Looking forward to accelerating our mission of bringing fast, reliable automation to the world of construction, starting with our inaugural product, Branch, which automates the wiring design of solar panels to provide an optimized stringing layout in just seconds. Special thanks to Shyama Majumdar, Ph.D, MBA and Polsky Center at the University of Chicago for this amazing opportunity! #AI #startup #entrepreneurship #solar #stringing
“I am excited to welcome cohort three into Transform, this cycle was particularly competitive and we are delighted with the seven companies we selected,” said Shyama Majumdar, Ph.D, MBA, director of Transform. “We have a good mix of healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and fintech companies represented as we continue to see generative AI startups leading the way, which is reflected in this cohort. After the success of cohort 2, we are ready to run with cohort 3 and help pave their way to success.” Powered by the Polsky Center’s Deep Tech Ventures and in collaboration with UChicago Data Science Institute, Transform provides full-spectrum support for the data science and AI startups accepted into the accelerator, including access to business and technical training, industry mentorship, venture capital connections, and funding opportunities. Congratulations to the seven teams: Autonoma AI, Bettor Vision, Complete Wellness Solutions, Healee, iTrials, Leaf Automation, & Legman.

Excited to have exhibited at CES recently alongside other disruptive CWRU entrepreneurs, it was an amazing opportunity to showcase our engineering software at one of the largest tech expos in the world. Big thanks to CWRU Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship for a great week! #entrepreneurship #engineering #startup
CWRU Innovators are heading to?#CES2024! Over the next few days we'll be shouting out some of the CWRU student, alumni and faculty who are exhibiting their innovations. From a selection of AI, music, art, cyber security, health tech, robotics and other science based discoveries, there's something to interest everyone. Slide 1: Escargots Ka?y is a sustainable farm that provides high-quality snails to meet the demand for protein-rich food in C?te d’Ivoire. The company was founded by Akissi Ange Dominique YAO, a student from Yamoussoukro, C?te d’Ivoire who is in the integrated Bachelor of Science/Master of Science program studying chemical engineering and materials science and engineering Case School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. Slide 2: Co-Founded by Case School of Engineering faculty member Chris Yingchun Yuan, Dory Power is a new technology company that offers battery-powered electric generators and solar generators for portable and uninterruptible power supply. Slide 3: LEAF is a startup that has developed AI-powered CAD automation plugins that expedite and optimize the design of engineered systems in sectors including electrical, mechanical, and structural. It was co-founded by Evan Haug, EIT, (CWR ’21) who started LEAF as an engineering student and ThinkEnergy Fellow. LEAF was a finalist for Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Best of Tech Most Promising Startups award, and won funding from the Morgenthaler-Pavey Startup Competition in 2022. Slide 4: Sprinklifier aims to change the way that lawns, yards, and small commercial plots are irrigated. It is a patented innovation designed by Dr. Peter Bennett, Professor, Department of Music and Coordinator of Graduate Studies in Historical Performance Practice CWRU College of Arts and Sciences. Slide 5: Afference, Inc., spun out of the Human Fusions Institute, powers the feeling of touch with wearable neural interfaces. This technology was awarded the CES 2024 XR Innovation of the Year. Dustin Tyler, the Kent H. Smith Professor II in Biomedical Engineering, is the co-founder. Congratulations, all! ?? You can find CWRU Innovators at Eureka Park, booth 61633, except for Afference which is exhibiting in booth 60633.
