This past week at our RISE Policy Summit, we honored two 2024 Advocates of the Year! We were proud to recognize Grant Edelstone, Senior Director at Front Porch Communities & Services, for his tireless advocacy in shaping policies around dementia care, skilled nursing, and workforce standards to improve services for older adults in California. ? We were also thrilled to honor Openhouse a nonprofit supporting LGBTQIA+ older adults, for their groundbreaking work in launching California’s first statewide survey to address the unique needs of LGBTQIA+ older adults. With over 4,000 responses, the survey provides vital insights that will shape future policies and improve services for LGBTQIA+ older adults. ? Both Grant and Openhouse continue to demonstrate unparalleled dedication to improving the lives of older adults, and their work inspires us all to keep pushing for meaningful change.
