Giving women the tools to create a brighter tomorrow.

关于我们

The LeadHership Foundation was founded on a great desire to establish a space where women from all areas of life can obtain the skills, knowledge, and assistance they require to achieve their goals. The LeadHership Foundation is a grassroots movement- It demonstrates that women, regardless of their circumstances, can create their own lives. We want to be a guiding force for people by providing information and a community that supports, equips and trains them. We want to make it simpler for women to lead with confidence and purpose by providing them with the necessary tools and making the workplace more welcoming to all. Our mission is clear: to equip all women, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with the tools, skills, and support they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. We firmly believe in women's inherent strength and resilience but understand that they require nurturing environments and opportunities to thrive. At LeadHership, we aim to provide precisely that—a platform where women can harness their innate abilities and access essential knowledge and skills to shape their desired futures. Our integrated program is designed to ensure inclusivity, catering to the specific needs of ALL people. With a specific focus on the deaf community in Namibia.

In Ghana, a surge in female-led small businesses is driving economic growth, proving that courage and purpose can transform communities. • Did you know that women are underrepresented in politics globally, despite their transformative impact on leadership? Namibia’s 2024 elections highlighted how critical women’s voices are in shaping policy. In the U.S., women voters significantly influenced midterm election outcomes. As women step into more leadership roles, the effect is undeniable- stronger communities, better representation, and impactful policies. At LeadHership Foundation, we believe political leadership goes beyond elected officials; Political leadership is about the choices we make every day to influence change in our spaces and wherever we find ourselves. Whether it’s running for office, leading a grassroots movement, or contributing through advocacy, every step matters. Join us as we champion the next generation of female change makers. • Imagine a workplace where trust is the norm, well-being is prioritized, and every team member feels genuinely valued. Leadership is about making this vision a reality through greater flexibility, authenticity, and a deeper commitment to creating real impact. As work continues to evolve, leaders too should find new ways to inspire and navigate effectively. Here are some key insights for impactful leadership: ?? Establishing Trust: Trust forms the foundation. A leader must be able to align actions with words, thus ensuring transparency and reliability in interaction. Only such authentic communication can build strong relationships on which teams can then thrive. ?? Inclusive Cultures: It’s Beyond Policies of inclusion. It demands embedding respect for diversity in daily interactions and decision-making. By appreciating individual dissimilarities and appreciating varied perspectives, leaders can form spaces where everyone is prized and motivated to give their best. ?? Leadership Today Includes a Focus on Well-Being: Well-being, particularly mental health, has become an important focus in modern leadership. The transparency and encouragement of a leader can make the work environment feel safe to express new ideas and promote teamwork, which makes people within the team feel valued and cared for. ?? Adaptability in Hybrid Work: In hybrid work, leaders need to engage teams differently. Deliberate design of virtual and physical spaces can strike a balance between flexibility and productivity in support of shared success. ?? Continuous Growth: Essential are curiosity and a willingness to learn. In this fast-changing world, leaders who demonstrate growth and encourage the development of their teams will stay ahead. Leadership today is considered to be about a purposeful guiding, an empathetic engagement, and a success achieved through collaboration. Which of these strikes you the most? #Leadership #Careerdevelopment #Entrepreneurship

  • The actions you take is what will make you a great leader. At LeadHership Foundation, we believe leadership is about cultivating the kind of environment where others are inspired to rise to their potential. Here’s what effective leadership looks like: ? Lead by Example: Integrity is at the core of great leadership. Set the standard for others to follow. ? Create a Positive, Inclusive Culture: Build an environment where everyone feels valued, included, and heard. ? Show Empathy and Respect: Understand the needs and concerns of others, and act with compassion. ? Provide Clear Direction and Purpose: Help your team see the big picture and understand their role in achieving it. ? Coach and Mentor: Support growth and development by guiding your team members along their journey. ? Collaborate and Recognize: Promote teamwork and celebrate the successes of those around you. Leadership is not about the position we hold; it’s about how we show up and the example we set. When leaders advocate for their team, especially the quieter voices, the interns, or those still finding their footing, they build trust and create a culture of support. Let’s be the leaders who inspire, uplift, and create a workplace built on trust and empathy. #Leadership #Teamwork #ProfessionalDevelopment #Support

  • As Michelle Obama wisely puts it, "Life is practice." Every decision, habit and action you take contributes to shaping your identity. If you’re inconsistent, unfocused, or not giving your best effort, that’s what you’re practicing. However, change is possible if you make the choice. As we step into this new week and the year 2025, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on these questions, and ask ourselves: ?? Who do I want to be? ?? How do I wish to develop in the times ahead? ?? What attributes do I desire to cultivate in myself? Now is the chance to intentionally shape your future self by deliberately practicing virtues you select. At LeadHership Foundation, we emphasize that success doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through intentional choices made daily. Whether it’s showing up on time, staying disciplined, or chasing your goals with focus, you’re setting the foundation for the person you aspire to be. This year, let’s commit to cultivating the habits, mindset, and behaviors that align with our vision for ourselves. Let every action reflect the future you’re working toward. Here’s to a year, and a life, filled with purpose and progress! ??? #Leadership #PersonalDevelopment #GrowthMindset

  • Here is how you prepare for uncertainties as a leader: According to Harvard Business School, great leaders don’t just manage, they anticipate. They create opportunities, build resilience, and inspire those around them to think boldly. Margaret Heffernan’s TEDx talk, “Dare to Disagree,” reminds us that leadership is about embracing diverse perspectives and challenging the status quo to spark innovation. Take Namibia’s 2024 elections, for example. Women leaders there advocated for inclusivity, showing the importance of having diverse voices at decision-making tables. Similarly, the Ghanaian elections demonstrated how strategic partnerships and innovative approaches to governance can drive community development. At LeadHership Foundation, we’re committed to building a community of forward-thinking female leaders who lead with vision and purpose. We invite you to join us redefine what leadership means in our communities, our organizations, and our lives. Share your thoughts: what’s the most critical trait a leader needs today? #Leadership #WomenInLeadership #Innovation

  • In Namibia, unemployment continues to pose a significant challenge, especially for women. As of 2023, Namibia’s female unemployment rate is 18.22%, according to the World Bank’s modeled International Labour Organization (ILO) estimate. This figure represents the percentage of the female labor force that is without work but available for and seeking employment. Additionally, socio-cultural norms and unaddressed trauma further hinder their potential to thrive in the entrepreneurial space. The 2024/2025 Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is designed to address these issues head-on. Targeting rural regions like Kavango East & West, Erongo, Hardap, and Oshana, the program is focused on women who are underprivileged, single mothers, or living with disabilities, including members of the deaf community. By integrating sign language interpreters and trauma-healing exercises, we aim to create an inclusive, supportive ecosystem for all participants. Here’s why AWE matters: ?? Access to Resources: The program equips women with essential tools, mentorship, and coaching to enhance their business ventures. ?? Rural Outreach: Reaching underrepresented regions ensures we connect with women who have been overlooked in traditional development initiatives. ?? Inclusive Impact: Incorporating strategies and resource networks equip women to overcome challenges and unlock their entrepreneurial potential. With a 7-month intensive program that includes interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and expert guidance, we aim to create a generation of resilient, innovative, and well equipped women entrepreneurs. We believe that solutions like AWE can not only reduce unemployment but also promote a thriving community of women-led businesses that contribute meaningfully to the economy. ?? Are you ready to be part of this change? Applications close on 11 January 2025. Follow the link in the comment section to register today! • The moment you start prioritizing yourself and your needs as a leader is the moment leadership ends. Leadership is about moving people from point A to point B, where point B is a better place for them, not for yourself. Are you thinking about yourself, or are you thinking about the needs of your community? Leadership is not all about clinging to power or fulfilling personal ambitions; it’s about serving the greater good. A remarkable example of this is President Joe Biden, who, recognizing his physical limitations, chose not to run for re-election. Instead, he prioritized the nation’s needs over his desire to lead, paving the way for Vice President Kamala Harris to step forward. History gives us countless examples: ?? Mahatma Gandhi dedicated his life to India’s freedom, embracing humility and sacrifice. ?? Nelson Mandela endured 27 years in prison, emerging not with vengeance but with a vision of unity for South Africa. ?? Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan environmentalist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, transformed communities by championing sustainable agriculture and reforestation, improving countless lives. She was the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She started the Green Belt Movement to counter deforestation and mobilise African women to think sustainably. True leadership is about laying aside ego and focusing on the well-being of those you serve. It’s about creating systems that benefit the community, not just the individual. Are your actions driven by the desire to nurture your ecosystem, or are you stuck in your ego-system? Something to consider when making decisions: after all, leadership is about moving people from point A to point B, where point B is a better place for them. #Leadership #CareerDevelopment #Entrepreneurship
