关于我们
LEADERS UNITED of Lake County (LULC) is a group of caring and committed young professionals on a mission to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism among their peers. The goal of LULC is to impact issues that affect students and families across Lake County. This is also an outstanding opportunity for those who are seeking to build leadership experiences. LULC is an affinity group within United Way of Lake County and is made up of individuals who donate $250 or more annually. Your membership will strengthen our time, talent, and resources to ensure children and families living in Lake County’s most vulnerable communities are supported with access to the resources they need to thrive.

Join us on this #MemberMonday to welcome Makenzie! Makenzie is family-centered and has always sought ways to help others. Her passion for volunteering and fundraising started when she was 15, and she has taken on roles that support the community throughout her career and personal life ever since. She joined Leaders United after seeing the great work the team does through her role in our corporate partnership with Great Lakes Credit Union and wanting to do more and meet like-minded people. Makenzie hopes to meet others with similar passions and increase her reach as a Leaders United Member. Learn more: https://bit.ly/2RNy4jG

We’re thrilled to kick off another year of our mentorship program, Breakfast Club, with an amazing new cohort of students at Robert Abbott Middle School! We had the privilege of welcoming them with the help of our Breakfast Club Alumni, Brent. Brent shared his personal journey of how being part of Breakfast Club made a positive, lasting impact on his high school years, his relationship with his mentor, and how the program gave him a strong foundation for success. His story is a testament to the power of mentorship and community. We’re excited to see what this year brings as we support the next generation of students. Here's to another year of learning, growth, and connection!
