It’s Board Member Monday! Today we wrap up our Executive Committee highlights with Past President, Adam Marsh. Adam is the President of Ledge Inc. He graduated from Future Leaders of York in 2002, joined the board in 2018, and completed Mentorship York in 2020. Adam served as President of the Board during our 45th Anniversary in 2023-24. Q: What inspired you to join the Leadership York board? A: "Leadership York had a significant impact on my career and community service beginning?in high school with Future?Leaders of York.?I learned about servant leadership and joining the board provided me the opportunity to give back to the community, get involved outside of my normal professional circle and help guide the trajectory of this great organization moving forward." Q: What is your favorite leadership quote? He completed the Leadership Training Program in 2019, joined the board in 2020, and graduated from Mentorship York in 2023. Q: What inspired you to join the Leadership York board? A: "I joined the Leadership York board because I had a really great experience with the Leadership Training Program and wanted to still be connected to the organization and be a part of helping further its mission in our community." Q: What is your favorite leadership quote? A: "The most dangerous leadership myth is that leaders are born-that there is a genetic factor to leadership. She graduated from the Leadership Training Program in 2017 and joined the board in 2020. If you've been to one of our events, chances are you've met Deena! Q: What inspired you to join the Leadership York board? A: "During my experience in the Leadership Training Program, I was drawn to Leadership York's mission to train, connect, and inspire future leaders. I've been fortunate to have had great mentors and opportunities in my career, and I'm excited to contribute to the development of the next generation of servant leaders in York." Q: What is your favorite leadership quote? Next up for Board Member Monday is President-Elect, Ryan Hayman. Ryan, the owner of hayman studio, completed the Mentorship York program in 2013 and graduated from Executive Connections in May 2020. He joined our board shortly thereafter, in July 2020. Ryan also currently chairs the Mentorship York program committee. Q: What inspired you to join the Leadership York board? A: "I joined the board of Leadership York to give back to this organization that helped guide both my personal and professional growth paths. My family business and I would not be in the position we are today without the things I learned and did during my time in Mentorship York. I owe a lot to this organization." Q: What is your favorite leadership quote?
