What an exciting day for the Leadership TriCounty Class of 2025! First up, a trip to the General Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum to learn about Boyertown, the history of General Carl Spaatz, and to put leadership principles into action in the teambuilding escape rooms. Then, a trip to Constellation Limerick Generating Station to learn about nuclear energy and spend time in the control room simulator learning about day to day operations and problem solving protocols. The day wrapped up with a classroom conversation on Leading through change and challenges. Looking forward to seeing everyone in April when we head to Pottstown Hospital Tower Health, the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus and Emergency Operations Center. #LeadershipTriCounty #TCACC #BetterTogether #LetsDoThis

Leadership TriCounty Scholarship Update time! Last week, Amanda Eckert and Stephanie Freed's class learned lots from their day spent at General Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum and the Constellation Limerick Clean Energy Station. Read what Stephanie had to say about her experience below ?? "This month we visited the Carl Spaatz Museum in Boyertown. We learned about a local hero who was the first chief of staff of the United States Airforce. At the museum we also completed a WWII era themed escape room which was a fun exercise in teamwork and leadership. Next, we traveled to the Constellation Limerick Clean Energy Station and toured their control room simulator. It was interesting to learn about all the rigorous training that goes into the management of our local power plant, keeping the community safe and keeping us powered. What a great day in the Zoom Room with the Leadership TriCounty Class of 2025! While we missed being in person due to weather, we're thankful for virtual class yesterday. We had the great opportunity of learning from Mike Howell from Kingdom Coaching by Michael Howell about core pillars of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Awareness, Empathy, and Communication, which are foundational pillars of Leadership. It was an incredible discussion and great space for questions and dialogue. We also had the opportunity to learn from Peggy Lee-Clark from Pottstown Area Economic Development about Economic Development, the Mission of PAED, and current and upcoming projects in Pottstown. Our afternoon tours were transitioned to virtual meetings and we're so thankful to: Beth Desch from Pottstown Children's Discovery Center for sharing with us about the incredible journey of PCDC and the incredible value this organization brings to children, families, and the Pottstown Community! @BrianParkes from TriCounty Active Adult Center who shared with us the incredible resources, classes, and offerings for people 50+ in the Pottstown Community. What a fantastic time at the REACH Luncheon yesterday! It was a day packed with powerful insights from amazing women. Panelists, Jennifer O'Donnell, IOM, @LisaLightcap, Casey Fenoglio, MPH, CHES, and Blessing Odiale, all alumni of the longstanding TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership TriCounty program, shared their strategies, perspectives, and experiences in creating intentional opportunities for leadership development, career growth, and organizational impact. The Leadership TriCounty program attracts some of the most amazing leaders from across the TriCounty area and these women are absolutely amazing leaders impacting their organizations and communities. We had the opportunity to hear from current Leadership TriCounty Class member, @MinaPomante from Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation about her intentional focus on leadership growth in 2025. We also had the opportunity to hear from Beth Desch with sponsor Pottstown Children's Discovery Center about her inspirational journey and the incredible way PCDC is positively impacting children, families, and the Pottstown community. This project started on a frigid day much like today, requiring field verification of a concrete block foundation that was previously constructed to support a new greenhouse meeting space at #AlthouseArboretum. Since this qualifies as an Assembly space, we need to provide code compliance plans showing egress routes, accessibility features, and other required features. Excited to be a part of this meaningful project that will expand the Arboretum's gathering space options for summer camps and retreats. Only downside, I did *not* get to do the ropes course this time. Additionally, we were honored to hear from Rep. Joseph Ciresi and Senator Tracy Pennycuick, who shared insights on their bipartisan efforts and collaboration to achieve the shared goal of making Pottstown a thriving place to live, work, and grow."
