Two years of hard work. One incredible team. Today, we celebrate a milestone.
We officially moved from the Lower Tier to the Middle Tier in performance categories for charter school renewals — a testament to our collective dedication and belief in our students. (This is the link: https://lnkd.in/dEPtfdeY)
In just two years, we:
?? Strengthened school culture, reflected in a 30% increase in Panorama survey data.
?? Reduced the overall suspension rate by 3%, from 7.7% to 4.7%, with an even greater impact for Black students, where suspensions dropped by 13.3%.
?? Built a strong, committed team, growing from a majority Edgenuity online classes to an in-house powerful faculty team with a 70% retention rate.
?? Increased the College/Career Indicator on the California Dashboard by 46.3%.
This year, we focus on academic achievement:
?? Improved academic outcomes, with NWEA spring data showing about 76th percentile growth in Math and 63rd percentile growth in English.
?? Doubled the number of 11th graders meeting or exceeding standards in English on the CAASPP interim test.
Joining this school two years ago has been a journey of growth and purpose. Month after month, I witnessed change — listening to students’ feedback, checking in with staff, and responding to our community’s needs. Slowly but surely, students began connecting with teachers and staff, and our school culture transformed.
This shift is living proof of the heart and effort poured into our school by a team that came together during challenging times but shined as a family.
?? With the addition of our $20M College and Career Center, we are here to support our community in preparing for college, careers, and beyond.
