The Class of 2025 kicked off their "History & the Arts" program day at the Community Theatre League. After meeting our hosts—Heather Woods ’22, MaryJo Westbrook ’20, and Adam Dincher ’21—the class learned about the theater's offerings. Andree Phillips, Seth Sponhouse, and Rubie Natal-Figueroa shared insights into the theatre’s history, its current activities, and upcoming shows. The students even had the chance to explore the sound and light booth, where the magic of production happens! Next, the class boarded a River Valley Transit Trolley for a tour of Millionaire’s Row. Gina Edwards from the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce provided historical details about the homes, buildings, and churches along the route. Stops included Saint Joseph the Worker Parish and Williamsport Park Place, where the class admired the stunning architecture! The tour concluded at the Thomas T. Taber Museum, where the class split into groups and learned more about Lycoming County’s history while participating in a scavenger hunt! After lunch, the group heard from Kristin Caringi, Chief Financial Officer and Asst. Director, Robbin Degeratu of the James V. Brown Library. Following their discussion, Karen Confer and Nicole Radar guided a library tour, showcasing its many services, which doesn’t just include book lending…did you know you can buy stamps and apply for a passport right on-site at our local library? The day wrapped up with a fun team-building activity at Wine & Design. Stefanie Allison and her team led a lively “Paint Your Partner” session, resulting in colorful and creative masterpieces. The Class of 2025 certainly had an unforgettable day of learning, exploration, and bonding! Thank you to our Program Day sponsors: James V. Brown Library and Wine & Design. We would like to continue to thank our Annual Sponsors: UPMC, Hope Enterprises, North Central Sight Services, Inc. & West Pharmaceuticals!
