The class of 2025 had a chance to start Education Day with State Superintendent, and recently named incoming CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert (LLV ‘08). Superintendent Ebert spoke about the adoption of the Nevada Portrait of a Learner, community engagement, and collaboration. In her future role, she said she is dedicated to making Clark County a destination school district.

Criminal Justice Day was an eye-opening and educational experience for the Lions. They engaged with experts from across the criminal justice system, participated in a mock sentencing, and witnessed an impressive K-9 demonstration—among other impactful moments. With curiosity and thoughtful questions, the class delved into the complexities of the system, gaining deeper insights along the way.

It’s Healthcare Day! ???? Healthcare Day kicked off this morning, celebrating the tremendous growth the sector has achieved, thanks to the support of the Vegas Chamber, Mayor Shelley Berkley and many others. Up next, we’re excited to tour the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Nursing Simulation Center. Today, the Lions are proudly donning shades of green in honor of their fearless leader’s birthday. This afternoon, the Lions explored the dynamic intersection of government, media, and politics through engaging discussions and an insightful tour. We had the privilege of hearing from Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and leaders in the media and politics world. The day included a glimpse into the future of downtown Las Vegas as we toured the exciting Carolyn G. Goodman Civic Plaza project.

The Class of 2025 (Lions) launched Government, Politics, and Media Day with great enthusiasm, featuring dynamic keynote speakers and insightful panel discussions on lobbying, campaigning and the media’s role. ?#LLV25 #Pride

Join us in welcoming the LLV Class of 2025, the Lions, to History & Arts Day ?? We're diving deep into the rich history and vibrant art scene of our beloved city! From learning about prehistoric and indigenous Las Vegas with Paco Alvarez to hearing the stories of Las Vegas’ first settlers with Dr. Michael Green, we're gaining a new appreciation for the roots of this dynamic community. ?? Other Special Highlights include: - A powerful poetry reading by Vogue Robinson and poetry workshop ?? - Reflection on community art and its lasting impact by Torrey Russell ??? - A deeper understanding of Dia de Muertos and art project with Isaias Hiram Urrabazo ?? - And many, many more ? Thank you to the volunteers who brought this day to life.
