Superintendent Ebert spoke about the adoption of the Nevada Portrait of a Learner, community engagement, and collaboration. In her future role, she said she is dedicated to making Clark County a destination school district.

Criminal Justice Day was an eye-opening and educational experience for the Lions. They engaged with experts from across the criminal justice system, participated in a mock sentencing, and witnessed an impressive K-9 demonstration—among other impactful moments. With curiosity and thoughtful questions, the class delved into the complexities of the system, gaining deeper insights along the way.

We had the privilege of hearing from Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and leaders in the media and politics world. The day included a glimpse into the future of downtown Las Vegas as we toured the exciting Carolyn G. Goodman Civic Plaza project.

From learning about prehistoric and indigenous Las Vegas with Paco Alvarez to hearing the stories of Las Vegas’ first settlers with Dr. Michael Green, we're gaining a new appreciation for the roots of this dynamic community. ?? Other Special Highlights include: - A powerful poetry reading by Vogue Robinson and poetry workshop ?? - Reflection on community art and its lasting impact by Torrey Russell ??? - A deeper understanding of Dia de Muertos and art project with Isaias Hiram Urrabazo ?? - And many, many more ?
