From learning about prehistoric and indigenous Las Vegas with Paco Alvarez to hearing the stories of Las Vegas’ first settlers with Dr. Michael Green, we're gaining a new appreciation for the roots of this dynamic community. ?? Other Special Highlights include: - A powerful poetry reading by Vogue Robinson and poetry workshop ?? - Reflection on community art and its lasting impact by Torrey Russell ??? - A deeper understanding of Dia de Muertos and art project with Isaias Hiram Urrabazo ?? - And many, many more ? Thank you to the volunteers who brought this day to life.

The LLV ’24 White Tigers spent the engagement day at Allegiant Stadium, which also gave them the chance to get a behind-the-scenes tour. They explored the Las Vegas Raiders locker rooms, admired the commissioned art for the stadium, marveled at the 3D printer Al Davis Memorial Torch, enjoyed stunning views of the Las Vegas skyline and snapped pictures on the field.

The class of LLV24 White Tigers dove headfirst into the pulse of Gaming Tourism & Entertainment today at the exquisite Fontainebleau, absorbing insights from esteemed industry leaders such as: - Fontainebleau President Maurice Wooden - Fletch Brunelle, Lisa Messina, Lisa Motley from LVCVA - Colleen Birch - Brandi Ellis, Caesars Entertainment - John Saccenti, ESPN - Bobby Reynolds, AEG Presents - Lance Evans, MGM Resorts - Marc Baddain, Oakview Group They learned how Las Vegas continually evolves and leads in entertainment of all kinds for both visitors and locals, solidifying its global reputation. One thing remains certain: Las Vegas will persist in its trajectory of growth and innovation.

The White Tigers of LLV '24 were treated to an action-packed Business Day, brimming with invaluable knowledge, thought-provoking discussions, and "aha" moments that will undoubtedly shape their perspective of Las Vegas for years to come. Here's how the day ended:? - Two industry giants, Steve Hill, CEO and President of LVCVA and Peter Dropick, Executive Vice President, Event Development & Operations of UFC share the stage to discuss the challenges, triumphs, and game-changing strategies that have propelled their respective organizations to the forefront of innovation and excellence. - Myisha Boyce, President of M.Y.S. Firm and former Chief Community Engagement Officer for the Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee, had the quote of the day: "When you do passion work, the universe conspires to help you be successful." - From the boardroom to LinkedIn profiles, the class had access to a professional photographer for fresh headshots. - Two inspiring entrepreneurs, Janise Wiggins and Ricardo Gudino, shared their compelling stories of overcoming challenges and achieving success in their respective fields, offering valuable insights and lessons learned to the audience. - As part of their homework, the class was tasked with conceptualizing their own businesses and presenting them in a Shark Tank-style format. Each group was assigned a specific community problem to address, and they developed innovative solutions to tackle these challenges. - Through his inspiring words and personal anecdotes, General Ondra Berry, the Adjutant General for the State of Nevada and the senior uniformed Nevada National Guard, left a lasting impact on the class, instilling in them the importance of effective leadership mentality and the role it plays in driving success and positive change in both personal and professional spheres.

The Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2024 stepped into a world where champions are forged, and dreams become a reality. Yes, the class' Business Session Day was held at the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Performance Institute. As they toured the state-of-the-art facilities, the class gained a behind-the-scenes look at the training, practice, and recovery processes that shape elite athletes. The class witnessed the intense dedication and hard work required to succeed at the highest level of professional combat sports and learned about the cutting-edge techniques that support these athletes in their pursuit of excellence right here in Las Vegas.
