Last Thursday Jeffery Tribble Jr., J.D. and Timothy O'Leary welcomed us for a performance of Verdi's Macbeth at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The show was fantastic, and members of the new Class of 2025 even found time for a group photo - BRAVO!!

Last week's Lunch Around Town was another big hit for connection and conversation! Thank you to all who attended, and to John Hasenberg, AAMS?, CRPC?, CPFA? for once again sponsoring the series!

Last Friday's trip to Richmond was a chance for participants to view a city reconciling with its prominent history of racial injustice and white supremacy. From the Enslaved Africans Trail to the toppled Jefferson Davis statue, a drive down a Monument Avenue now free of confederate monuments to viewing Kehinde Wiley's Rumors of War, we came away with a blueprint for confronting a poisoned a past.

Thank you everyone who came out to the Celebration of Leadership - our members, our partners and sponsors, and all of the extraordinary leaders from across the region. And of course congratulations to our 2024 Leader of the Years, Howard Stone. Taking a breather today but we’ll have more to share very soon!

Two years ago we ventured to Richmond to explore their history of racial injustice, and how present leaders and activists are working to reconcile that past with a more just, equitable future. And we're returning on November 8 to impact a new group of leaders on how to lead for justice and fight for action. Join our journey and begin your own by registering at lgwdc.org/richmond
