Yesterday, our Signature Program participants took part in Safety & Justice Day, where they had the opportunity to engage with public safety officials, key figures in the justice sector, and local organizations dedicated to creating a safer and more just Columbus for everyone. A huge thank you to our long-time partners at Columbia Gas of Ohio for hosting us at their corporate offices in the Arena District- Stephanie Campolo Merkle, MBA (SP '12), Luka Papalko (SP '25), and the entire Columbia Gas team!

关于我们
The mission of Leadership Columbus is to develop, connect and inspire diverse leaders who serve as catalysts in building a strong and vibrant community. An effective gauge of a community’s health and well being is the quality of the volunteer and civic contributions made by its leaders… those people who serve on boards and task forces, work with community groups and commissions, and serve as elected officials. These citizen leaders must be nurtured and provided with the tools that enable them to be successful and inspires them to be committed and passionate community trustees. We enact our mission through a complement of programming including our 10-month Signature Program and Nonprofit Board Governance Training. Today, Leadership Columbus provides state of the art education and training for emerging and existing leaders in the Columbus area. Since 1974, Leadership Columbus has been the premier training ground to educate, empower, equip and prepare more than 2,900 individuals to become the current and future trustees in and for our community. Leadership Columbus graduates have contributed to the quality of life in Central Ohio by their deeds and actions. In addition to completing more than 200 community projects, Leadership Columbus alumni have assumed positions of leadership in government, banking, business, industry, nonprofit sectors, politics, journalism, education, philanthropy, law, and neighborhood development. In addition, graduates populate the boards of the arts, health care and innumerable other nonprofit organizations in Central Ohio.

Erika Gable (SP '16) is an inspiring community champion and also happens to be one of our Leadership Columbus alumni serving on our Curriculum Committee and as an Alumni Ambassador for Signature Program Class of 2016! Community Shelter Board- we couldn't agree more, let's give it up for Erika!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of connecting with our friends at the Short North Alliance to learn about their renewed commitment to impactful, community-driven initiatives in the Short North neighborhood. It was great to see so many LC alumni in attendance, including Short North Alliance's very own Betsy A. Pandora, MCRP (SP '15) and Johnny Riddle, ECI (he/him) (SP '24). We also reconnected with alum from Experience Columbus- Katie Baker, CMP, DES and ECI (SP '19), Olivia Karp, ECI (SP '22), and Meg Berno, ECI (SP '24). Creativity is calling in the Short North, and we couldn't be more excited for what's ahead!
