My journey as part of Leadership California has come to an end with our graduation ceremony in #SanDiego. This has been an amazing journey of creating connections with impactful and inspirational women leaders from across the state, learning about important #California issues and visiting some of my favorite spots in the state. I highly encourage #womenleaders to learn more about Leadership California and consider joining a future cohort. #LeadershipCalifornia #womenleaders #Californialeaders #thefemalelead #Californiaissues #GracelightCommunityHealth #valuechcs #healthcareleaders #civicleaders

Director ECA LNG at Sempra Infrastructure | Member Board of Directors Women’s Energy Network - CA Chapter
Feeling incredibly fulfilled and grateful to have completed the Leadership California Issues and Trends program! Over the course of this journey, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing our State, and I’m leaving inspired by the incredible women I’ve had the privilege of learning from and alongside. This experience has sharpened my leadership skills and broadened my perspective on issues that impact not only our communities but also our future. A huge thank you to all the mentors, peers, and experts who made this experience so enriching! Looking forward to applying what I’ve learned and continuing to grow and make an impact. I truly enjoyed the closing exercise by Pam Marcheski, learning more about our local issues from Nora E. Vargas, and having the support of Cindy Molina, M.S., CPLP, SPHR and Sempra Infrastructure. #LeadershipCalifornia #WomenInLeadership #Gratitude #ContinuousLearning #LeadershipJourney

Day 2 in San Diego: The CIT Class of 2024 spent the day tackling some of the region's most critical issues. We began with a presentation from Sandeep Aujla, CFA, who shared insights on wildfire risks and climate adaptation strategies. This was followed by a fireside chat with Erica Martin, Alex Moffat, and Sandeep Aujla, where they discussed the collaborative efforts needed to address the challenges of wildfire resilience and climate change. In the afternoon, Christina Bibler led a session on Economic Development Innovations and the City of San Diego, sharing valuable insights on the city’s strategies for growth and sustainability. Classmates then headed to the North City Water Reclamation Center for a Pure Water tour, where they learned about the city's sustainable water initiatives. The day concluded with a group reception, providing an opportunity to reflect on the conversations, insights, and connections that continue to shape our leadership journey. Day 3: The CIT Class of 2024 wrapped up our program with a focus on leadership, resilience, and looking ahead. We began with a session on Self-Care - Leading with Resilience and Mindfulness by Pam Marcheski. Next, LC President, Britt Kopping led a discussion on CIT and the Future, exploring how participants can use their experiences to stay engaged and continue making an impact in their communities. The day concluded with a commencement ceremony, marking the official graduation of the CIT Class of 2024! San Diego County Supervisor and 2009 LC Alum, Chairwoman Nora E Vargas, delivered an inspiring speech about leadership, service, and our collective responsibility to drive positive change. As we celebrate this milestone, we’re excited to stay connected and continue the work that lies ahead!

Yesterday, Leadership California kicked off CIT Session IV in San Diego with a memorable opening reception and networking event at Belmont Park. As our final CIT session of the year, it was the perfect evening to strengthen connections with classmates, enjoy great conversations, and roast marshmallows around the fire while taking in a beautiful sunset. Looking forward to a powerful finish to this incredible year!
