Tomorrow, the Leadership Butler County Class of 2024 will cut the ribbon on their class project—a brand new concession stand that will provide sustainable income for Prospect Baseball for years to come! ??? Throughout the year, the class also contributed sweat equity around the field. Join us for the first pitch at the newly improved Armstrong Field! ?? We took time to reflect on all the incredible accomplishments of our class throughout the year and celebrated the growth and connections we've made together. ???? What a perfect way to end an amazing journey with such an inspiring group of leaders! ????

?? Leadership Butler County Agriculture Day, Friday August 9th ?? Part 3: Our class visited Asgard Alpaca Farm and made some friends! ?? It was such a unique experience learning about the history and care of these amazing animals. Next, we headed over to Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport, where we got an inside look at AirQuest Aviation and High Flight Academy and the various operations happening at the airport. ????? It truly was a a day full of fun, discovery, and incredible learning opportunities!

Part 2: Our class had the privilege of touring Marburger FARM Dairy a family-owned dairy farm that has been a cornerstone of Butler County since 1938 ???? We learned about the farm's fascinating history, from its humble beginnings to its growth into a state-of-the-art dairy facility, renowned for its quality products throughout the region. ?? After our visit, we headed over to the one and only Back Home BBQ & Brew Co. for a delicious spread that hit the spot! ????

Part 1: Our day began at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, where our class had the chance to dive into the history and behind-the-scenes workings of the Butler Farm Show ?? “It began with a plow and grew into a family tradition.” “In 1947 a plowing contest was held on the Jack Roe property in Meridian. This was the birth of an idea to get the city folks, businessmen, and farmers together to better understand one another. “ Since it was Farm Show Week, we got an exclusive inside look at all the exciting events and diverse exhibitions happening across the grounds! ???? #LoveButlerCounty #Agriculture #NoFarmsNoFood #ButlerCountyPA

The class had the privilege of touring MSA - The Safety Company, a global pioneer in safety equipment, proudly headquartered in Butler County. Founded after a tragic mine explosion in 1912, MSA has been at the forefront of developing safe mining equipment, drastically reducing mine explosions by 75% over 25 years with innovations like the electric cap lamp, developed with none other than Thomas Edison. ???? We wrapped up the day with a behind-the-scenes tour of the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, the cutting-edge practice facility for the Pittsburgh Penguins ????.
