Honoring the Rising Leaders of Leadership Buffalo! ?? ? Leadership is not just about strategy and execution—it’s about understanding ourselves and each other at a deeper level. This week, the rising leaders at Leadership Buffalo took a bold step forward, embracing Emotional Intelligence (EQ) training with a growth mindset and a commitment to rethinking outdated beliefs. ? One of the biggest breakthroughs? Debunking the myth that emotions just happen to us. Instead, we explored how neuroscience shows that our emotions are shaped by our experiences, perceptions, and the meaning we assign to events. This shift in thinking empowers us to move from reacting to "responding with intention" - a skill that differentiates strong leaders from great ones. ? Seeing these leaders challenge assumptions, engage in deep discussions, and commit to growth was inspiring. Their openness to self-awareness, adaptability, and continuous learning reflects the leadership Buffalo—and the world—needs more of. ? Kudos to each of you for leaning into this work.
