We support Black and Latino people to build political power and become civic leaders.
关于我们
Leaders of Color identifies, trains, and supports community leaders so that they have the tools and knowledge to be civic leaders. Our program launched in 2018 amidst significant social disruption, and was created to bridge the gap between the tremendous talent of community-based leaders of color and the resources and investment required to empower those leaders to create lasting civic change. And it’s working. Our alumni serve in elected office, lead community-based organizations, and steer Boards of Directors. Our goal is to amplify the innate ability of local leaders to be change agents for their communities.

During #HispanicHeritageMonth, we celebrate the resilience and achievements of Hispanic students and their families. It's crucial to recognize the growing importance of quality education for Hispanic students—who now make up 29% of all public K-12 students in the U.S. Despite significant progress, like an 81% increase in Latinx participation in AP courses, deep disparities remain in access to higher education and representation in teaching roles.?Leaders of Color is committed to advancing Latinx civic and political leadership to close these gaps and ensure all students receive the education they deserve.
