L.E.A.D.'s mission is to empower Black youth to overcome crime, poverty, and racism through sport based development.
关于我们
L.E.A.D.'s mission is to empower an at-risk generation to lead and transform their City of Atlanta. Through the power of sport, L.E.A.D. uses baseball to educate and empower the city's most vulnerable students on how to overcome three curveballs they face in life: crime, poverty and racism. Our Pathway2Empowerment is a year round program model for 350 students in Atlanta Public Schools that focuses on four pillars: athletics, education, civic engagement and commerce. These pillars are wrapped in our six organizational core values: excellence, humility, integrity, loyalty, stewardship and teamwork. The Ambassadors who graduate from L.E.A.D. are civically engaged, compassionate leaders who are prepared to make a positive impact in the community and in any industry they choose.

At LEAD Center For Youth, we know that sports are more than just a game—they’re a powerful vehicle for leadership, discipline, teamwork and gainful employment. Beyond the field or court, sports can open doors to career opportunities in coaching, management, media, and more. We’re committed to helping young athletes turn their passion into pathways for success! #SportsLeadership #BeyondTheGame #LEADCenterForYouth #SportsMatter

From the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to the countless heroes who fought for justice, Atlanta has been at the heart of the fight for racial equality. As we reflect on its rich history, we’re reminded of the power of community, courage, and the ongoing work towards a more equitable future. #LEADCenterForYouth #BlackHistoryMonth #ATL #CivilRights?

Today Atlanta honors a son of this City; a man who walks with God, loves his family and who has served the community with enthusiasm and excellence. From LEAD’s early beginnings, Ceasar C. Mitchell was there to guide and encourage us to keep going. Whether it was attending an event, making an introduction or just sharing an encouraging word as we started what he knew would be an arduous and fulfilling journey - serving the community in spirit and in truth. Thank you Ceasar for all that you have and continue to do for our founders and the hundreds of youth and families we serve in Atlanta each day.? Thank you Mayor Andre Dickens for ensuring that Ceasar?received his flowers today. #Atlanta #ATL #ServantLeader

Congratulations to LEAD Alum, Tyler Williams, who just graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s in Communications! Not only did he shine in the classroom, but he also spent four years as a student-athlete, playing infield for the TSU Tigers. Tyler is a 2020 LEAD Ambassador from Maynard Jackson HS and a recipient of the Stewart Family Scholarship, awarded to those who excel academically (3.0+ GPA) and give back by volunteering with LEAD Center For Youth each year. Your hard work, dedication, and leadership are an inspiration to us all. Congratulations again Tyler, the best is yet to come! #LEADCenterForYouth #LEADAmbassadors #LEADAlum #LEADingByExample #StudentAthlete #ClassOf2024?
