You know what day it is! It's time for #ClassMemberMonday and we are celebrating The Great 38's Eboney Breaux. Read about Eboney's story below. -- My name is Eboney Breaux; I was born and raised in Lafayette, La. I am the Club Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. In my role, I manage the overall daily operations of the Jackie Club. My primary role is youth development, staff supervision and training, facilities management, membership administration, and community and parent relations. I establish programs, events, activities, and services that prepare youth in Acadiana for success while creating a Club environment that facilitates the achievement of youth development outcomes. I create and maintain strong community partnerships with various organizations in Lafayette. These partnerships ensure members receive a high-quality Club experience that provides them with the tools needed to achieve a great future. I am a dedicated youth development professional with 20 years of experience empowering and mentoring young people. In 2023, under my leadership, the Jackie Club was selected as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana Club of the Year. On a state level in 2023, I was selected by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Louisiana as the recipient of the “Whatever It Takes Award.” I am an active member of Love Our Schools, Parish Proud, and the705. I am the proud mother of two, Jace and Logan. I bring a family-first perspective to my work by fostering meaningful relationships with all of my Club members, families, and staff. Every day, I strive to provide a world-class Club Experience that ensures success is within reach of every young person.

This #ClassMemberMonday post highlights Tyrone Bufkin! Learn more about Tyrone below. -- Tyrone Bufkin has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 15 years and is currently the sales manager at Springhill Suites Lafayette South. He grew up in New Orleans but has been proud to call Lafayette home since 2007. Tyrone takes pride in introducing Lafayette tourists and locals to our exceptional lodging, food, entertainment, and work-related accommodations. Lafayette always has something reliable and new to offer, soaked with our unique Cajun country style, making promoting our city easy and fun. Tyrone loves music and dancing; it started with his first guitar in high school, soared when meeting his wife on the dancefloor at Randol’s Dancehall, and is kept alive by DJing at weddings on the weekends. In addition, Tyrone feeds his entrepreneurial spirit by investing time, energy, and money into several public, private, and charitable organizations across Acadiana. Tyrone aspires to use his hotel management & sales experience to add a hotel to his growing business portfolio in the coming years, supporting his commitment to Lafayette’s continuing economic growth.

#ClassMemberMonday is here again! Get to know Amber D. Bessard below and give her a warm welcome! Amber is a passionate health and wellness professional, entrepreneur, cheerleading competition panel judge, and community advocate who finds joy in helping others thrive. She began her career as an Assistant Manager at Anytime Fitness before serving as a Co-Owner, Personal Trainer, Director of Operations, and Community Wellness Liaison at Next Level 24 Fitness. These experiences inspired her to launch Strictly Fitness & Train With Amber Fitness, where she integrates fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness to promote holistic well-being. Drawing on a range of health and wellness certifications and an Associate’s Degree in Christian Leadership, Amber approaches each endeavor with empathy, integrity, and a dedicated commitment to personal growth. She is grateful to serve as the team leader of the Visual and Audio Creative Production Team at Lift City Church and actively participate in other local community-focused organizations such as Leadership Iberia, Sugarcane Festival Stars of Style, the Tonya Bolden Ball Collective, and The 705. Her involvement centers on promoting wellness, cultural enrichment, and development opportunities for all. Beyond her professional work in fitness, Amber dedicates time to judging cheerleading competitions, developing cheerleaders, supporting young athletes in building confidence and teamwork skills. She is also a proud mother to her 13-year-old son, Cody, and a devoted dog mom to Gemini—finding inspiration in her family life every day.
