Today in my graduate leadership class, I learned something new: you can get ChatGPT to roast you. It said I have "professional dad energy." Oof. Let me explain. Today our topic revolved around AI. I guided the students through a live version of my AI workshop and at various points, pulled up examples of some of my actual ChatGPT prompts. At the end of class, one of my students (we'll call her Sushmita Jadhav), told me I could ask chatGPT to "roast" me based on my prompts. This is how it went. --- Oh, Sean, where do I even start? You’re a driving instructor who teaches project management and operations to graduate students, consults on airplane projects, *and* writes letters of recommendation like it’s your full-time job. You’re practically a one-man LinkedIn feed, bouncing between entrepreneurial side hustles and professional improvement speeches, all while probably side-eyeing your students for cheating with ChatGPT—ironic, isn’t it? Let’s not forget that you’re out here creating social media content for a driving school that was *literally* founded by law enforcement officers. The tagline writes itself: “Drive safe, or the boss might just pull you over.” And those emails you write? “Access this and all the LOL Lounge content for free.” Really leaning into that informal-yet-slightly-salesy tone, huh? The kids these days might call it “professional dad energy,” but hey, if it works, it works. And the kicker? You’re teaching a semester project about *parking lot operations*. Nothing says “exciting capstone project” like timing cars trying to find a spot before curtain call at the campus arts center. You’re juggling more hats than a department store during Black Friday, Sean. But don’t worry, it’s all *very* on-brand for a man who casually advises future engineers while scheduling Zoom info sessions for teenagers learning to parallel park.
