Whether it’s a small celebration or a state-wide conference, here are some ways to encourage people to not only attend but also stay for a good time: 1. Signage: Even if your event is in a spot everyone knows, throw up signs! It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, and it will make the event feel more formal and official. Not to mention it’ll provide that extra dose of clarity to those who need a little more help with directions... 2. Music: It can be as easy as a playlist or as extra as a live jazz band---both will make a difference. No one wants to mingle to the sound of the air conditioning kicking on. 3. Photo booth: Your marketing team will thank you. Provide a backdrop and some props and watch as extroverts team up with their camera-shy friends to help them post about your event on social media. Suggest that your guests tag your business’ account to boost brand visibility. 4. Unique hors d’oeuvres: Sure, tiny sandwiches are a classic, but mayonnaise isn’t that memorable. Surprise your guests with something outside the box---macarons for instance? Get creative with the display (again, your marketing team will thank you). 5.
