Congratulations to Sarah Silverman!
Last week, I completed the Young Leaders Council (YLC) Fall 2024 Cohort, an awesome program dedicated to training and equipping young leaders to serve on nonprofit boards effectively. Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of Nashville’s most inspiring leaders about board governance, strategic decision-making, and leveraging my skills to create meaningful impact in our community. I’m thrilled to take the next step in this journey by starting my board internship with the American Heart Association here in Nashville. This organization is at the forefront of the fight against heart disease and stroke, advancing research, advocacy, and education to improve cardiovascular health and save lives. I look forward to contributing to their critical mission and supporting their work to create a healthier community! Thank you to LDA Engineering for supporting my participation in this program and for encouraging me to grow as a leader committed to making a difference. Also, thank you to Kim James, MBA and Rachel Reyes for their leadership and guidance throughout the program.

Last week, our very own Taylor Hagood, E.I. had the opportunity to co-host the Chattanooga session for the 2025 WPLA class and participated in a leadership panel discussion. It was a fun two days of discussing leadership styles, emotional intelligence, and learning more about each other through ice breakers and team building exercises.

Stepping into a safer, more accessible Nashville with the Nashville Department of Transportation’s 31st Ave Pedestrian Improvement Project. ??♂? Get ready to explore more of Centennial Park with the new connection of 31st Ave N to the park's greenway and walking trail. Phase 2 of the project brought a 5-foot-wide sidewalk on the east side of 31st Ave N. Safety and connectivity, here we come! #Nashville #CommunityDevelopment #Walkability ????? ?? One step closer to completion as paving is currently taking place for Denso Greenway Extension in Blount County, Tennessee! LDA was selected to complete engineering design and construction documents for the 0.79 mile section of greenway. The alignment is uniquely positioned to create a safe, protected corridor that connects bicyclists and pedestrians to regional employment centers, residential neighborhoods, and recreational areas.

Thrilled to share our recognition from the ACEC Tennessee Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Nashville on Wednesday night! We are honored to have received three Grand Awards for the Pigeon Forge Reuse System, Pigeon Forge Raw Water Intake, and Craighead Street Pedestrian Improvements. Along with Collierville Pump Station—which earned the Honor Award. The gala celebrated outstanding engineering achievements across Tennessee, and we are proud to be among the recipients. Thank you to everyone who made these projects possible!
