Our recent project in Nashville, TN is a testament to technology revolutionizing our work approach! ?? With UAS LiDAR technology and Listen-Listen Carlson BRx7 Base and Rover capabilities, we've completed a detailed Boundary and Topographic Survey plus a Tree Survey (counting 1,700 trees! ??). This provided our client with meticulous data, ensuring they have a true-to-life view of their site. At LDA, we build STRONGER.HAPPIER.COMMUNITIES – not just through our work, but by embracing advanced tech! ??

Hurricane Helene has left parts of the Southeast devastated, but we’re proud to represent clients who are stepping up to support their communities in this critical time. Here’s how some of our #MBPRClients are making a difference in the relief efforts and helping neighbors rebuild: Soles4Souls is preparing to ship more than 100,000 pairs of shoes and pieces of clothing to the region. Middle Tennessee Electric sent crews and equipment to North Carolina and upper East Tennessee to support power restoration and is sending more. CSX has made a generous financial gift while simultaneously preparing for the 82nd CSX Santa Train, a cherished holiday event in Appalachia. LDA Engineering, which also has offices in East Tennessee, and EO Nashville have each gathered and moved hundreds of supplies to the region. HCA Healthcare donated $1 million to relief efforts and sent more than 400 HCA Healthcare nurses to Asheville, N.C., to help relieve the overworked team at Mission Hospital. Our hearts are with everyone dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and in the path of Hurricane Milton. We’ll continue to look for ways as an agency to help.

We had a blast at the Dinner By The Bridge event hosted by Greenways or Nashville! Celebrating 30 years of their journey and our first time attending, it was a night to remember. Big thank you to Michael Briggs, Director of Transportation Planning, for speaking and continuing to bring awareness to the Choose How You Move transportation referendum on the ballot this November. Thank you to our LDA team and local community for donating to those impacted by Hurricane Helene in East TN. Yesterday, we were able to send our last load of supplies to the city of Erwin. We will continue to have all those affected in our thoughts and prayers as they continue to navigate through this difficult time.

That's a wrap! This week, we had the pleasure to connect and learn with other engineering firms at the Tennessee Engineers Conference in Franklin, TN. From LDA, Paul Couey, LSIT, Stephen Lange, and Josue Garduno, E.I., L.S.I.T., presented on "Surveying by Land, Air, and Sea with an Emphasis on Technology." Taylor Hagood, E.I. presented alongside NDOT’s, Anna Dearman, and CDMSmith's, Ashley Smith, on "Designing for Complete and Green Streets on 12th Avenue South." NDOT's 12th Avenue South Complete and Green Street Project also won the ASCE Tennessee Section Project of the Year award! Huge appreciation to ACEC Tennessee and Tennessee Engineering Foundation for hosting this awesome conference. #EngineeringConference #ACECTennessee
