Livingston County United Way will have a new Executive Director as of November 18, 2024. The Board of Directors of Livingston County United Way (LCUW) is pleased to announce that Carrie Newstead from Howell has been selected to be the new leader of the organization. Newstead has 20+ years of experience in the local banking industry, and is well known throughout Livingston County. She is currently serving on the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and is a past Board of Education member with Fowlerville Community Schools. Newstead has many years of community engagement through Fowlerville, Howell and Livingston Sunrise Rotary Clubs, as well as being a former Rotary Assistant District Governor. She has also been involved with Livingston County United Way in various volunteer capacities over the years and is very familiar with the organization. Wednesday, August 7 marks the date for Livingston County United Way’s 22nd Annual Day of Caring. Volunteers are still needed for the one-day community impact event that brings together volunteers to assist those needing help in our community. Volunteers can choose to work at projects from 9:00am-noon, 1-4 pm or all day. Deadline to register as a volunteer is Sunday, June 30. https://lnkd.in/eDG4E5_u

"As a culmination of their 100 Year Celebration, proceeds from the event were donated to a local nonprofit selected by the Rotary Club membership. Livingston County United Way (LCUW) was the recipient organization of Howell Rotary Club’s generosity as they received a check for $13,500 from the Rotary Club.
