  • Livingston Link-Up invites business professionals, medical personnel, care providers, and those who assist residents in need to their free event on Friday, January 31st from 4 – 6 p.m. at 2|42 Community Church - Brighton Campus (7526 Grand River Ave.) This is the perfect opportunity for professionals and organizations to meet up with the people and groups working on local issues. Your referrals, insights, volunteerism, and financial support might be the missing link in solving some of our shared community challenges!   • Livingston County United Way will have a new Executive Director as of November 18, 2024. The Board of Directors of Livingston County United Way (LCUW) is pleased to announce that Carrie Newstead from Howell has been selected to be the new leader of the organization. Newstead has 20+ years of experience in the local banking industry, and is well known throughout Livingston County. She is currently serving on the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and is a past Board of Education member with Fowlerville Community Schools. Newstead has many years of community engagement through Fowlerville, Howell and Livingston Sunrise Rotary Clubs, as well as being a former Rotary Assistant District Governor. She has also been involved with Livingston County United Way in various volunteer capacities over the years and is very familiar with the organization.
