As we prepare to honor our veterans, we are excited to share the remarkable story of Larry Chambers, a resident at Freedom Plaza Sun City. Larry made history as the first African American to command a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and the first African American graduate of the Naval Academy to reach flag rank. ? ? In this video, Larry reflects on his remarkable career and the lessons he’s learned along the way. His story is a powerful reminder of resilience, leadership, and the importance of making difficult decisions for the greater good.
