Regional partnerships are a key component to continuing to do the work that we do in all of our communities. LCLGRPB works with the Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) to administer grant funding that benefits the water quality of the Lake Champlain Basin and its fisheries, wetlands, wildlife, recreation, and cultural resources. This directly helps our communities that rely on a healthy and stable watershed. We recently took our region to the national stage at the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) Annual Training Conference in New Orleans. Our team was thrilled to connect with fellow advocates and explore new opportunities for our communities. A huge thank you to NADO for being an incredible partner in our mission! We’re excited to implement what we learned here in our region to advance #economicdevelopment and #communitydevelopment opportunities here in the #NorthCountry! #LCLGRPB #WarrenCountyNY #EssexCountyNY #ClintonCountyNY #WashingtonCountyNY #HamiltonCountyNY

The Lake Champlain Watershed is one of the most valuable assets to our Northern communities, a statement that has come up repeatedly throughout LCLGRPB's time working in #WarrenCountyNY #EssexCountyNY #ClintonCountyNY #WashingtonCountyNY and #HamiltonCountyNY. Communities are taking proactive steps to ensure that this resource remains a reliable economic development engine and sanctuary to a thriving ecosystem. Did you know that the LCLGRPB is a technical assistance provider for the New York State Drinking Water Source Protection Program (DWSP2)? DWSP2 is a locally led program that empowers municipalities to take action to improve and protect their public water sources and surrounding environment. LCLGRPB also has the expertise to apply for competitive granting programs such as DEC's Water Quality Improvement Program (WQIP), and then help administer once awarded. ?Reach out to us today at [email protected] for more information on LCLGRPB's role in regional and community watershed efforts and other great NYS DEC grant programming. Workforce Housing Revolving Loan Funds are for the purchase and renovation of non-occupied long-term rental units (no acquisition only loans). This loan fund helps to establish resources for housing stability in our region, a priority goal that came out of LCLGRPB's Forward Together Economic Resiliency Plan, and has been made possible through a grant from the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC). Eligible projects must result in new, ready-to-rent long-term units within Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren or Washington County. If you are interested in applying for the Workforce Housing Revolving Loan Fund, or for more information on eligibility, email [email protected] and visit our 'Workforce Housing' page on our website https://lnkd.in/g3qKx6yN #LCLGRPB #adirondackcoummunities #northcountryhousing #ForwardTogetherEconomicResiliency #workforcehousingnewyork #ClintonCountyNY #EssexCountyNY #HamiltonCountyNY #WarrenCountyNY #WashingtonCountyNY

Earlier this month, LCLGRPB's Junior Planner, Sam Blake, and Economic Development Coordinator, Jessica Leerkes, attended the 19th Annual North Country Stormwater Tradeshow and Conference. The tradeshow is put on each year by the Champlain Watershed Improvement Coalition of New York (CWICNY), an organization that protects water quality and ecology in Lake Champlain and its tributaries, of which LCLGRPB is a membership organization. This year's tradeshow focused on promoting concepts for clean water. Sam Blake served as a moderator for a discussion on the MS4 Permit Update, a component of water quality management that LCLGRPB can help municipalities to better understand and comply with under DEC guidelines. Reach out to [email protected] today or visit our 'Watershed Climate Resiliency' page on our website to learn about opportunities to work together on planning for the protection of valuable drinking water sources. https://lnkd.in/edB5Jk2Q #LCLGRPB #economicdevelopmentinthenorthcountry #newyorkstatedec #cleanwaterforall #ClintonCountyNY #HamiltonCountyNY #EssexCountyNY #WarrenCountyNY #WashingtonCountyNY
